Procrastination stops when you act

There are probably a million quotes out there on procrastination. (Okay I exaggerate, but you get the picture). We all know what procrastination is, and why it is not the best if we want to lead productive and efficient lives.

I have chosen to write about it today, because I recently saw the quote in the post image (courtesy:

Do not act as if you had a thousand years to live.

Today is December 23, 2017. This means that another year is almost out. As I reflect on this year, I cannot but wonder if I made good use of every opportunity that came my way. Did I live this year like it was never going to end, and like I had all the time in the world?

I must confess, my answers to those questions could have been better.

Procrastination they say is the thief of time,

and really all life is made up of, is time. Is it then safe to say that, if procrastination is the thief of time, then it must also be the thief of life? As 2018 draws near, will you allow procrastination to steal the year away, or will you take charge and take action?

Each moment we live, takes us closer to the end of our lives. It does not matter whether that’s a pleasant thought or not, it is the truth. We owe it to ourselves, to give life the best shot we got.

You do not have forever

Don’t let fear, procrastination, indecision rob you of this life you have been given. Make it count.

I like the article on HuffingtonPost on this subject – Why Procrastination Is The Thief of Time. I will end with some quotes from the article

Time never stops, never slows down. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
If you spend money, you can always get it back. But all of Bill Gates’s billions can’t buy one minute of yesterday.
You’ll never have more time than you have right now.
Time simply IS. It is only our USE of time that matters.
What are you putting off in your life... your relationships... your business?
Are you ready to face your fears and find the freedom you’re craving?...
